![]() Apparently there isn't even an option to turn aim assist off when I scoured the menus. If devs have any questions about my setup let me know if you want it. Aim assist just does not belong in an aim intensive multiplayer shooter. I love the game in so many ways (it deserves to be more popular imho) but this really kills my excitement. Now that I know it was because of aim assist largely it feels really unfair, undeserved, and unrewarding. Aim assist takes away from the mechanical skill required to really dominate a match.įor example I have like 12 hours in the game (all but like 3 are from the initial launch and I hadn't played it since) and I have been topping scoreboard almost constantly with almost 4 KD. Aim assist is one of the reasons why I dropped Halo on PC and actually thought Splitgate was a better game. I did some troubleshooting and realized that aim assist was pulling my crosshair to targets and tracking them without my hand on the mouse. So I don't know if this is normal for mouse+keyboard, but it's broken to have software do the tracking and flicking for you. I was playing Rocket League earlier and switched to Splitagete and noticed that my aim was snapping against my movements and I thought for a moment my mouse was faulty. I watched a replay where A player playing on console, (I know they were playing on console because they were named "Ps4isbetter") didn't even come close to aiming on target, but what do you know, almost every shot hit.I play with mouse and keyboard but I have a controller hooked up to my PC for games like Dark Souls, RPGs, and Rocket League. Go look up high level warzone where its dominated by controller because of braindead aim assist. I usually play Team SWAT, and when console aim assist makes it where they get a headshot when they probably should not have, gets a bit annoying. Even if it was its not fair to have different barriers of aiming requirement just because someone chose to use inferior hardware. My problem is that the aim assist, if used properly is too powerful. Lastly, I will admit that having aim assist is a good thing to have, especially in cross-platform games. I've only been playing for a little bit now. ![]() ![]() I will also admit that I am not the best at the game. I'd like crossplay with PC off in every game as default, tho every dev seems to be greedy on that front :) I know that using a mouse is superior to using a controller. ![]() I'm good with KB/M and average at best with a pad there is nothing like a mouse for control. Played it on Xbox and didn't know there was aim assist as you don't ADS.? Also Keyboard and mouse is superior in every way to a pad if your losing then I hate to say it, your not that good. my point is, Console aim assist is way too op, and needs to be dialed waaaay back. ![]() Also, the aim assist even let him shoot through walls a few times. If you are wondering whether your favorite Sci-Fi FPS has the infamous Aim Assist feature, then you will be delighted Does Splitgate have Aim Assist - Android Gram If you are wondering whether your favorite sci-fi fps has the infamous Aim Assist feature, then you will be delighted to know that it does. I have a replay saved where he wasn't even aiming at the bodies of his targets, but wouldn't you know, they all hit. Just having a good time playing splitgate, and then some console player comes along and annihilates everyone because of the op aim assist. Originally posted by Goldface02:We've all been there. ![]()
